Installation guide for Mosolut Machine flooring

Mosolut Machine PVC tiles are one of the most practical solutions for garages, workshops, warehouses and industrial spaces. Thanks to the interlocking system, installation is simple – no glue, no dust and no downtime. This guide will show you how to properly prepare the subfloor, install the tiles and achieve a professional result, even as a DIY project.

1. Let the tiles acclimatise and prepare the subfloor

After delivery, lay the tiles out in the room where they will be installed and let them acclimatise for at least 24 hours. This allows them to adjust to the room temperature and reduces tension during installation.

Meanwhile, prepare the subfloor. Mosolut Machine tiles can be installed on almost any hard, level and clean surface.

  • level major uneven areas with a self-levelling compound
  • fill holes and cracks with filler
  • minor unevenness is acceptable, but may show through visually – we recommend preparing the surface as evenly as possible

Recommended tools: rubber mallet, measuring tape, utility knife, marker or chalk.

2. Starting the installation of Mosolut Machine PVC tiles

Mark right angles in the room using a marker, chalk or laser. The tiles must be installed in straight, perpendicular lines.
Start installation from the entrance and work your way inward. First, lay the tiles loosely (“dry layout”), then proceed according to the tile type:

Industrial, XL and ESD (visible joint)

We recommend laying the tiles in a pyramid pattern rather than long rows. After positioning, connect them and gently tap with a rubber mallet.
Once the full tiles are installed, measure and cut the edge pieces.

Commercial HL Invisible (hidden joint)

Install in rows – first connect the corners of adjacent tiles, then tap the entire edge into place.

3. Cutting and adjusting tiles

Always install full tiles first, then cut the edge pieces. Measure the distance from the last tile to the wall or obstacle.

  • leave a 5 mm expansion gap at walls, racks and fixed structures
  • cover the gap with skirting or fill it with flexible sealant
  • cut tiles using a utility knife; slight heating can make cutting easier

Advantage: the flooring can be installed during operation and is immediately walkable.

4. When to glue or weld the tiles

In most cases, gluing is not necessary. However, fixation is recommended in certain situations:

  • areas with significant temperature fluctuations
  • zones with heavy traffic (e.g. forklifts)
  • areas exposed to moisture or water

Fixing options:

  • polyurethane adhesive – permanent bonding
  • hook-and-loop (Velcro) – allows later removal
  • hot or cold welding – for maximum sealing, especially for Invisible type

5. Cleaning and maintenance

Mosolut Machine flooring does not require special cleaning products. Standard PVC floor cleaners are sufficient.

You can use:

  • mop
  • cleaning machines with rotary brushes
  • mild detergents

For longer lifespan, we recommend treating the surface after installation with Dr. Schutz Secura, which creates a transparent protective layer.
