Anti-slip products are available in four main grit levels. These can be applied to full panels, stair treads, nosings, edges, strips and ladder components. This flexibility allows the solution to be tailored precisely to the specific application without compromise. The general rule is simple: the more demanding the environment, the higher the grit level should be. A coarser surface provides better traction and significantly reduces the risk of slipping – especially in rain, snow, ice or in areas exposed to water, grease or dirt. On the other hand, a finer grit is more comfortable for everyday use, including barefoot walking.
Extra fine (Barefoot)
Extra fine grit is designed for environments where people walk barefoot. Typical applications include swimming pools, wellness areas, spas, saunas and outdoor terraces.
In these settings, it is important to balance safety with comfort. The surface provides sufficient slip resistance while remaining pleasant to the touch and comfortable for extended barefoot use.
Fine
Fine grit is a versatile solution suitable for both residential and commercial environments. It is commonly used on outdoor stairs, walkways, ramps and terraces where moisture is frequently present.
This type of surface offers a balanced combination of safety and comfort. It provides reliable traction in moderately challenging conditions without being overly aggressive.
Medium
Medium grit is intended for more demanding environments where higher loads and frequent exposure to water or grease are expected. Typical applications include industrial areas, production facilities, technical zones and dock platforms.
The rougher texture significantly increases grip and ensures stability in conditions where standard surfaces may fail. In this case, safety clearly takes priority over comfort.
Coarse (Offshore)
The highest grit level is designed for extreme environments. It is typically used in ports, coastal areas or industrial sites with high humidity and a significant risk of slipping.
The very coarse surface provides maximum traction even in the most demanding conditions. It is the ideal choice where safety is critical and standard solutions are not sufficient.
Colours and custom production
Anti-slip elements are available in standard colours such as yellow, grey-yellow, black or black-yellow. These options allow either visual integration with the surface or highlighting of edges for increased visibility and safety.
For specific projects, custom production is available – including tailored dimensions, grit levels and colours. This ensures the solution fits the exact requirements of each application.
Visibility in the dark and enhanced safety
A special option includes stair elements with photoluminescent properties, which glow in the dark. These significantly improve safety in low-light environments or during power outages.
They are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, especially in areas where lighting conditions change throughout the day.
