Case study - Revitalisation of the sports area for RS Termit in Doksy, CZ

At the RS Termit recreational resort in Doksy, Czech Republic, we completed a full renovation of the original sports area within 3 days and transformed it into a new multifunctional court with a Bergo surface.

The site originally contained an older plastic sports surface that may previously have been used for winter skating. Under the original tiles was old geotextile, and the entire system had reached a condition requiring complete refurbishment.

The original plastic tiles were connected so firmly that they had to be cut apart with a milling machine and gradually removed piece by piece.

After removing the original surface, a concrete base was uncovered, which needed repairs and levelling.

The project also included repairs to the original boards surrounding the court:

  • the boards had become loose and partially shifted downwards
  • the structure was levelled and prepared for the new surface
  • the new Bergo system was subsequently installed underneath the boards

A new geotextile layer was installed on the prepared base, followed by the new Bergo sports surface.

The total completed area was approximately 600 m² in a combination of grey, red and dark blue colours.

Today, the new court is mainly used for:

  • 3×3 hockeyball
  • ball games
  • recreational sports
  • active leisure activities for visitors of the resort

The result is a modern sports surface that has significantly expanded the possibilities of the area and created a new space for movement, competition and summer fun for both children and adults.
